There are a few ways to avoid providing a CCV credit card when renting a car. The most obvious way is to not have one. Many car rental companies do not require a credit card, but you can make exceptions. If you’re traveling abroad, you can use a valid roundtrip airline ticket or return flight itinerary instead. Just remember to bring your credit card with you and a government-issued ID.
You can also pay for your rental with a debit card. You’ll still have to go through the identity verification process, but you won’t have to worry about the rental agent verifying your card. Using a debit card is also an option – but you’ll have to pay a higher holding deposit. If you have a credit or debit cards, the best option is to use them.
If you have a debit card, you’ll have to present the original utility bill. The bill should be less than 30 days old. It should not be past due. You can’t use a debit card at an airport branch, but you can use one in other locations. However, you can’t use a debit card for international rentals. If you’re traveling from out of state, you’ll have to present a return airline ticket or roundtrip flight itinerary.
Which Rental Car Company Does Not Require a CCV Credit Card?
