There are MCU bridges for IP and ISDN-based video conferences. The MCUs that are used as bridges in IP and ISDN connections are in most cases pure software, and others that can be found in other forms of connection are a combination of hardware and software.

The type of an MCU is determined by the number of simultaneous calls and conference participants it can handle, its ability to perform information exchanges, shared programs, shared documents, shared applications, and various other types of shared peripherals available in the MCU. conference. One good thing about MCU is that it can be a complete conferencing standalone software as it doesn’t need hardware acceleration because it is purely software accelerated.

With high-speed Internet connection becoming a much-needed part of the modern curriculum, video conferencing has also been part of the next step toward modernizing the school system. Due to video conferencing, special teachers can now hold conferences remotely, teachers can be on site and still deliver the lesson, and correspondence between schools can be easily done through video conferencing.
