The Top Ten lists are a dime a dozen on the web and one that appears more often than most is travel-related lists with quirky titles like Top 10 Places You Must See Before You Die and other titles. morbid. This list is similar, however we don’t see a need to insert the Before You Die bit, although it would be helpful to visit these cities before you ditch this deadly coil.
In choosing the proper criteria for selecting these cities, a lot of statistics and facts were taken into account, before being discarded in favor of the most crucial method of consideration of all … IMHO. So forgive me if your favorite city is not included. I know how you feel, as despite my best efforts to include one of my favorite cities, Dublin, on this list, logic dictated that a top 10 list would look a bit strange if it had 11 cities.
Now the next hurdle to overcome was deciding whether to rank cities on a 10 to 1 rated basis or take the lazy way and sort them alphabetically, suffice it to say that the lazy way was the overwhelming winner.
Bangkok
Bangkok is a huge and sprawling city that offers many charms. Bangkok is dotted with historic palaces and temples that offer a glimpse into the city’s ancient history, but Bangkok offers much more than just beautiful temples and glorious palaces. It sits comfortably at the forefront of Asia’s most visited cities and attracts millions of tourists each year. Majestic sites like the Temple of Dawn and the Marble Temple are not to be missed. Lumphinee Park offers a detour from the bustling streets of the city of Bangkok. Bangkok is a modern city that encompasses a lively nightlife, supreme shopping experiences, delicious smells that fill the senses of the many magnificent restaurants and markets. Bangkok’s wonderful architecture and relaxing climate solidify its well-deserved spot on this list, and indeed why it appears so frequently on similar lists.
Las Vegas
Well, it had to be that way, right? Surely no list of this nature could be complete without Sin City, Vegas. Vegas falls into the category of I’m lovin ‘it gold I hate it For most people and with the number of visitors increasing each year, it seems that most people I’m lovin ‘it. The entertainment capital of the world does not disappoint. Where else can you go for a gondola cruise in the morning, see the Grand Canyon in the afternoon, and be back in time to see shows like Siegfried & Roy, Cirque du Soleil, and similar headline acts in the afternoon? Okay, not everyone’s cup of tea, but it is a city that has to be seen to be believed. Oh, and did I mention that you can also bet there apparently?
London
Okay, the weather isn’t ideal, and the food can be mediocre, but no such list would be complete without including London. It has attractions and sights for people of all ages and is a cosmopolitan city on a large scale. Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, the London Eye and the Tower of London are just some of the majestic attractions of the capital of England. If it’s good enough for the Queen, well, it’s good enough for me, but don’t forget your umbrella.
New York
So good they named it twice as the saying goes and there are few cities in the world that offer the amount of iconic landmarks and attractions that New York has to offer. Even setting aside world-famous attractions and landmarks like the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, and Times Square, New York is such a vibrant city that it has more than enough to tempt visitors to come back again and again. . It is one of the most important commercial cities in the world, has an unsurpassed nightlife and is often referred to as one of the great cities of the world. You won’t find an argument here.
Paris
I would like to say that it was my romantic side that welcomes Paris to this list, but it is not, it is because it is deservedly found here as it is a European heartbeat of culture, beauty and indeed romance and offers some of the most beautiful and majestic views on the planet. The Eiffel Tower, one of the most famous monuments in the world, stands proudly in this city that is also adorned by the Champs Elysees, Notre Dame and the Louvre. The Louvre is home to The Mona Lisa, whose timeless beauty baffles generation after generation. Paris should not be missed.
Rome
This historic city, known as The Eternal City, has some of the most historic places in the world, including the Pantheon, the Colosseum, and the Roman Forum. St. Peter’s Basilica is just one of the many glorious churches in Rome, and it is an essential visit in the city. The Trevi Fountain is another delight in this majestic city. And no, it wasn’t built in a day.
San Francisco
The California Bay Area is home to one of America’s most popular retirement destinations, San Francisco, as well as being one of the most liberal cities in the country. The hilly streets are as familiar as perhaps the city’s most famous landmark, the Golden Gate Bridge. The bay glows in the warm sun, while San Francisco is also famous for its famous cable cars. The winding streets of Lombard Street are another essential visit, while tours of the port often include a trip to Alcatraz, the famous but now dormant prison. San Francisco is a warm and wonderful city with a new treasure every time you come, and no, you don’t need to wear flowers in your hair.
Sydney
Beautiful beaches, breathtaking views, and the famous Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbor Bridge, intertwined with beautiful weather and cosmopolitan cuisine, make Sydney a must-see city. The city is abuzz with activity and one of the friendliest on the planet. Darling Harbor offers fascinating sights and attractions including museums, impressive hotels and shops, while The Rocks offers charm in abundance. Sydney Opera House is one of the most recognizable buildings of modern times and is a must see. Sydney has it all in culture, arts, scenery, weather, and often the best Most livable city center. It is not difficult to see why.
Tokyo
A large-scale metropolis Tokyo is a vibrant, almost futuristic city that engulfs the senses from the start. Tokyo revels in shrines, museums, temples, and the city’s Imperial Palace. Sensoji Temple reigns among the enduring sights of Tokyo along with the Meiji Shrine and the Imperial Palace itself. Museums line the streets competing with restaurants and shops of all kinds. Those looking for a more modern approach have options like Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Dome City, and Tokyo Disneyland. There really is something for everyone in this great city.
Venice
Many cities claim to be unique, and indeed many are, but few can compare to the quirky charm of Venice and the decidedly unique canals that transcend the city. Romantic gondola rides alone do not capture all the beauty of this wonderful city. St. Mark’s Basilica is a glorious church that often has long lines to visit. It is located in St. Mark’s Square, a wonderful open square with charming cafes and is abuzz with activity, as it is one of the most photographed parts of Venice. The Doge’s Palace, the Bridge of Sighs and the Rialto Bridge are other landmarks of this extraordinary city.
