Nameplate with M stamp

Some time ago when I was on vacation from my school work, I was googling some paintings and art supplies and then I came across this really beautiful name plate. It seemed to be pretty easy, so obviously I thought I’d start without giving a second. I have an idea how they have done it.

First of all, take a wooden board of the desired size. Mix equal portions of Fevicol and Plaster of Paris and then add a little water to make a paste to spread on the wooden board. Be careful not to add too much water, otherwise it won’t stay on the board and keep flowing. Also, if it is too thick, it can be difficult to apply and have cracks. Now, put a thick layer of this mixture on the board and spread it all over. Now give it some texture of your choice. You can use your fingers, spoon, scale, pen, or anything to give it texture. You can make spirals, stars, circles, diamonds or whatever you can think of. Now let it dry completely for a few hours or it can be a full day. This is necessary because without drying you could not follow the next steps. Now paint the base with acrylic paint of your choice. Make it colorful as you like or it can be as simple as you think it should be. And now is the time to decorate this coated board. Make some small flowers and leaves with m-seal and stick them on the board. You can also use some dried flowers or potpourri to decorate the board. Also make some little curls or stem-shaped things and place them next to the flowers. You don’t need to use fevicol to glue these things made with m-seal, as m-seal would stick while still wet. Make the face of Ganesha as you can see in the image and place it in the upper center. Leaving a space of a few centimeters, place two lines each of m-seal. Let dry and once the m-seal hardens, you can paint it.

Although in this picture all things appear to be made of m-seal, you can also try using other things like dried flowers, ready-made Ganesha and whatever you feel like. Get creative and try something.

Have fun doing it.
