Make a variety of moist cakes with this simple technique.

If you want to make a cake that people compliment you over and over again, this is the recipe for you. You will be amazed at how easy this cake is to make, and you can easily change the flavor of the cake to suit your needs.

Not only can you change the flavor, but you can also bake it in a variety of different pans and change the topping as well. This is a cake that pleases everyone, from your boss to a five-year-old on his birthday. It’s a great option to bring to showers, potlucks, and even school events since it’s easy to turn into cupcakes, too. You couldn’t find a more versatile cake recipe!

Let’s start with a basic chocolate recipe. Purchase a box of brownie mix, the richer the better. Also buy a large box of instant chocolate pudding mix. Also get a packet of mini chocolate chips and some whipped cream.

Prepare the cake according to the instructions on the box, just add a full cup of oil, a total of four eggs, half the packet of mini chocolate chips, and the instant pudding mix. Mix well and pour into a bundt pan. Bake at the suggested temperature on the cake mix box.

Take the cake out to cool when you can put a piece of spaghetti in it and it’s not all sticky. (Although, there may be some chocolate from a melted chocolate chip in there.)

When the cake is completely cool, make a ganache to drizzle on top. You can do this by simply heating the rest of the mini chocolate chips in the microwave for thirty seconds to a minute. You will know they are ready when you can stir them and they become creamy. Don’t overcook! After melting the chocolate chips, add the whipping cream (no whipping) until the chocolate is a nice consistency for drizzling over the cake. Drizzle the ganache over the cake and you have a luxurious dessert. I like to add strawberries or raspberries around the edge just to add a bit of color and make it look even more delicious. Another option is to sprinkle chopped walnuts over the cake while the ganache is still hot.

This same cake can also be baked in 9″ cake pans and covered with store-bought frosting. So simple!

If you want to change up this recipe, experiment with different cake mixes, potato chips, and pudding mixes. For example, try a yellow cake mix with caramel pudding and caramel chips mixed in. Cover with vanilla frosting. Hmm!

Or try a vanilla cake using vanilla cake mix, vanilla pudding mix, and white chocolate chips. No one will ever say vanilla is plain again! The best part is that no matter what flavor of cake you make, it will always be the moistest cake your friends and family have ever tasted!

Enjoy baking!
