Panama is one of the few countries in the world with the best geographic locations. It links and gives connection and link between the countries of North and South America. It is made up of several islands that are subdivided into smaller islets and some of these islets are unnamed. Panama has a thousand islands on its Pacific side and six hundred islands on its Caribbean side. Among these six hundred islands along its Caribbean coastline, about two-thirds of them are located east of its capital and most are at the end of the isthmus. The islands of Panama have always been a frequent and favorite location for the popular American reality show “Survivor” and it is no wonder why many showed their interest in the island.

The islands of Panama are among the most beautiful islands in the world and most of these islands caused their creation and formation due to volcanic activities. These are some of the most famous and visited islands in Panama that are worth visiting and never getting lost:

San Blas Island

San Blas Island, located and positioned to the northeast of the continent, is one of the most popular islands in the country. In San Blas, there are more than 200 islets here, but only half of them or 113 are named and the other 100 islets are unnamed. Almost 30 islands are entirely made of coral. In San Blas, you can enjoy diving, snorkeling, and fishing on this island.

Isla Colón is located in the extreme north and in the Bocas del Toro region and is one of the most beautiful archipelagos and one of the largest of the islands. It is the largest tourist attraction in the country and close to the Caribbean Sea and the perfect island for nature lovers. The most famous on this island are the beach hotels, restaurants and nightclubs, and residential neighborhoods. When you are here, you can visit other nearby islands via private boat or by renting a water taxi.

Boca Brava Island is located in the Gulf of Chirique on the Pacific coast of Panama. This is a practically uninhabited island where the marine national park is also located. Boca Brava is a small island, but there is something for everyone here, whether it is to relax or participate in activities such as diving and snorkeling or horse riding and surfing. Additionally, the island is a good place for bird watchers and those who enjoy watching wildlife, as it is home to hundreds of monkeys, turtles, and raccoons. The Pearl Island also known as the Pearl Archipelago is located 50 miles from the capital of Panama, Panama City. It has a group of 100 or more islands and many of them are small and uninhabited. Its largest islands are San José and Isla del Rey. This island has always been featured on the reality show Survivor. Other television programs featuring this island include the Israeli version and the BBC television series, The Real Swiss Family Robinson.
