The terrain park at Eagles Nest at the top of Vail Mountain can be accessed at night by the Lionshead Gondola. Various parks and snowboarding features are also dotted around the mountain. Hot Dog Park has metal and wood slides, while Beaver Creek’s Strickline Snowboard Park sits among the trees in natural wooded terrain. Golden Peak Park is Colorado’s only double-barreled super pipe.
The vastness of the Vail resort makes skiing alone a bad idea, so make sure you have at least one companion. Getting around the vast complex is relatively easy because of 32 mostly high-speed elevators. Sun Down, Sun Up, China and Siberia Bowls together total more than 3,500 acres offering primarily expert skiing.
