Do you want to keep your children healthy? Discover the trick of a pumpkin float

Once upon a time, I, along with some of my brothers and cousins, was so hard to persuade to eat vegetables. This is the exact reason my grandmother gathered her culinary prowess and finally came up with a solution to help us nutrient-phobic kids.

Brace yourselves as I finally unleash the magic of Squash Float.

Let us begin

Listed below are ingredients that you and your resilient kids will love later on.

1. 1 whole pumpkin

2. 2 cans of condensed milk (If you are a fan of saccharin, better prepare 3 just in case.)

3. 2 packets of all-purpose cream

4. ¼ box cheese (grated)

5. 1 tablespoon of vanilla syrup

Process

These are the easy to follow steps to make your own Squash Float.

1. Slice the pumpkin along its lines. Remove the center part. No peeling necessary.

2. In an aluminum pot, add enough water to almost completely cover the sliced squash.

3. Bring to a boil until the pumpkin is sufficiently marinated. Prick with a fork to check its softness.

4. Scrape the mashed pumpkin. Make sure you don’t include the skin.

5. Place the pumpkin in a large container. Add condensed milk, all-purpose cream, grated cheese, and vanilla syrup. Keep in mind that the condensed milk should be poured in gradually to allow room for a bit of tasting. Sweetness is relative; therefore, you must first determine the level that suits your taste.

6. Mix them well.

7. Little by little, blend the mixture and place them in a shallow container.

8. Freeze.

9. When the pumpkin float is already frozen enough, depending on your taste and preference, you can now cut it into slices. The most common and easiest is to cut it into squares or rectangles.

10. Serve it to your children and yourself. Enjoy.

Bonus: for the kids, get creative!

To keep your kids wanting more, don’t settle for the conventional and drab. Challenge your creativity and conquer your limits. Make this recipe not only pleasing to the palate, but also pleasing to the eye.

Here are some useful tricks you can alternatively (or maybe spontaneously) perform on your Squash Float.

• Top with Crushed Graham.

• If you are a cheese addict, you can top it with grated cheese.
