California Invests $ 75 Million in Clean Energy Workforce Training Program (CEWTP)

California residents will have greater access to Solar Photovoltaic Training because more than $ 75 million will be invested in the California Clean Energy Workforce Training Program (CEWTP). This action lets us know that the State of California believes that the hope for California’s economy lies in green jobs. Although this money would not go directly to training providers, it does provide California residents with the opportunity to acquire the appropriate training to qualify for a green job. The 34 winners of this investment money have already estimated the training of approximately 5,600 workers through regional workforce training associations throughout the state, in the first phase of this program alone. With an increased emphasis on clean energy, such as solar panel installation training and institutions offering renewable energy training, there are three important things anyone interested in taking solar PV training should consider.

A portion of the $ 75 million investment in the California Clean Energy Workforce Training Program will go toward developing a standard curriculum that is sufficient to equip workers with the basic skills necessary to operate Jobs Green. These skills range from solar panel installation training to HVAC. Therefore, we will see more six-month certificate programs with course units that can be integrated with engineering or environmental related degrees. This is ideal for anyone interested in a more extensive study on renewable energy.

For those who don’t have time, there are institutions that provide forty-hour photovoltaic installation training certificates and solar thermal energy certificates. These certificate programs are more than adequate to provide students with the basic qualifications to launch into green jobs.

Green jobs have become very broad. Most employers require extensive clean energy training to even consider that you have the competence to successfully carry out basic responsibilities. It is not enough to take a one-day crash course in clean energy. Rather, aim for a certification in an emphasis on renewable energy, such as solar PV training (PV installation training). In light of this fact, anyone interested in taking solar panel installation training should consider the institutions that offer the best programs. There are few things that the best institutions offer in their Solar Photovoltaic Training. These are: North American Board of Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) Entry Level Certificate of Knowledge exam preparation, knowledgeable and experienced instructors, fully equipped training lab, and personal or proprietary branding.

NABCEP is the gold standard for photovoltaic installation training certification and solar thermal certification. Its goal is to raise industry standards and promote consumer confidence. Obtaining a NABCEP certification will earn you national recognition as a photovoltaic installer or solar sales professionals. It also increases your chances of getting hired. Good training in solar panel installation will prepare your students for the NABCEP entry-level certification exam. An experienced and knowledgeable instructor will be able to impart invaluable knowledge to students on what to look for in the industry. Personal branding is essential for professional success. However, most professionals don’t know how to brand themselves, especially in a relatively young industry. An exceptional photovoltaic installation training certification will help your students promote their brand in this young and growing industry.
