Current US High School Girls’ Athletics Records through July 2009 – Part 2

Here are the current U.S. high school women’s track and field records as of July 2009. This list gives every high school runner, jumper, and thrower an idea of ​​what it takes to become a world-class athlete in the preparatory level.

Some of these record holders have just completed their senior season and are likely headed to college competition somewhere. They include middle-distance runner Jordan Hasay, steeplechase runner Shelby Greany, high jumper Toni Young, and discus thrower Anna Jelmini.

The list of names from the past and their performances is staggering, and they have become household names in the athletics community around the world. They include Allyson Felix, Sanya Richards, Kim Gallagher, Polly Plumer, and most recently Christine Babcock.
