Bring the kids but don’t forget the KIT!

Taking the kids on a trip … a long-awaited vacation in a distant land (even if it’s a track or an ATV trail) so the whole family can spend time together and reconnect with each other? If everything is fine. There is nothing like taking children to some far and foreign place to have fun and put a little zest in their life.

Since you bring the ATV and the kids … you shouldn’t forget the kit.

What kit are you asking?

We’re talking about that toolkit that came with the ATV when you first bought it. Performing maintenance and repair in the middle of nowhere without the necessary tools is no fun, let us tell you that! Suffice it to say that although the toolkit contains almost everything you need to perform basic repair tasks on your ATV when it is broken down, it is not enough if there is a major breakdown. For example, you cannot forget the tools to repair the tires on your ATV. It is invaluable! Let’s face it, even on the flattest tracks, there will be a ton of sharp, pointy objects that could damage your ATV’s tires, so you’ll need it when that happens.

And before you start laughing, you won’t believe how wonderful the invention of duct tape and cable ties is. When things get loose and need a quick patch, you’ll thank your lucky stars for having them. And of course you can’t do without quick links either because they can get you out of messy and messy situations. Erm … those links don’t work as well without the rope, so bring those too.

Other things to consider if you want to stay on the safe side are replacement chains, extra spark plugs (so you can replace it and don’t have to push your ATV back to civilization), and a multi-bit screwdriver (it can be frustrating when you have a screwdriver but it doesn’t work).

When you have kids in tow, you just have to do your best to make sure that almost (we say almost because you can’t foresee everything … or not?) All grounds are covered.
