2008 BMW Series – The sequel

Bayerische Motoren Werke AG, commonly known as BMW, is an independent company founded in Germany in the early 20th century. The German company began with the manufacture of aircraft engines, then moved to the production of motorcycles and finally in 1929 began the activity that made it famous today: designing and manufacturing automobiles.

BMW is well known for dividing its models into series that are identified by digits as follows: Even series are made up of cabriolets and 2-door coupes, and odd series are made up of Family / Estate and Sedan / Sedan models. The BMW 1 Series consists of two vehicles: one that was launched at the end of 2004 and the second, a 3-door vehicle, which was launched in the summer of 2007. A third coupe / convertible model was announced for the end of 2007.

The E90 is the latest of the BMW 3 Series models and is available as a convertible sports coupe (E93), sports coupe (E92), sports wagon (E91) and entry-level sports sedan (E90). Recent additions to the 3 Series include the X3 Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) introduced in 2004, redesigned for 2007 and equipped with an advanced all-wheel drive system, “Enhanced DSC” stability control, X-drive upgrade, engine upgrade , suspension settings and much more. Also inspired by the 3 Series is the BMW M3 coupe / convertible, an award-winning vehicle with unique geometry. For 2008, the BMW M3 will be equipped with a Formula 1-inspired V8 engine.

When BMW took the time to experiment and combine new ideas and new technologies into a midsize luxury / executive car, the result was the BMW 5 Series. For 2008, the 5 Series luxury car was redesigned from the inside and out. on the outside and is equipped with a new 6-cylinder engine. Diesel and V8 engine options are also available. After a fifteen-year absence from the BMW lineup, the luxurious 6 Series sports coupe returned in 2004 with available coupe and open-top coupe versions. Updated versions of the 6 Series were launched in the summer of 2007 and updated versions of the M6 ​​coupe and cabriolet are expected to be on the market soon.

The BMW 7 Series is the place where all the innovations in the BMW range make their debut. The vehicles that included the 7 Series come with almost all types of engines, from V8 and V12 to supercharged V8. One of BMW’s future additions to the supercar lineup will be the Z10, a vehicle equipped with a V10 engine that generates 550 horsepower and is expected to cost up to $ 150,000. The aluminum and carbon fiber built vehicle will likely make its market debut in early 2008.
